VG Homestead

When visiting this building site, I was captivated by the breathtaking vistas across natural fields. It was paramount to seamlessly weave these stunning surroundings into the very fabric of the home.

The design strikes a balance between the intimate and closed-off front facade, preserving privacy and reflecting the rural homestead character, while the moment you step inside, the space transforms, embracing its inhabitants and immersing them in the sweeping, embrace of nature just beyond its walls. The contrast is emphasized by the architecture itself.

Tradition is marked by a classic warm limed brick and the amazing natural look of the old Burgundian tiled roof opposed to the contemporary large glass windows that carry a clean cut thatched roof penetrated by a monumental mantelpiece.
